These bodies expressed their firm national positions in protecting the social fabric, adhering to the unity and cohesion of Jordanians, and standing as one rank behind the Hashemite leadership, state institutions, and security services to protect the nation's security and stability.
In this context, the cultural forums affirmed their condemnation of the painful incident, including the Rawabi Al-Shamali Cultural Forum, the Rural Cultural Forum, the Malka Cultural Forum, the Jeiad Culture and Development Forum, the Jordanian Creativity Forum, the Pioneers of the North for Culture and Arts Forum, the Marsat Cultural Forum, the Waqqas Cultural Forum, the Arar Cultural Forum, and the Samar House for Culture and Arts.
Cultural and development associations also expressed their condemnation and denunciation of the attack, including the Jordanian Harvest Association and Forum for Culture and Folklore, the Jadila Association for Jordanian Culture and Arts, the Ghras Association for Thought and Culture, the Innovation Association for Children's Theater, the Sa'al Association for Culture and Arts, the Sheikh Hussein Women's Cultural Forum Association, the Aqhwan Malka Association for Culture and Arts, the Lights of the East Tourism Association, the Yarmouk River Association for Cultural Development, the Bayader Al-Khair Association for Heritage Preservation, the Innovation and Communication Association, and the Cultural Coexistence Forum Association.
Artistic and heritage troupes joined this collective national stance, as the Ramtha Arts Troupe and the Al-Mugheir Rahoub Troupe for Culture and Folklore affirmed their rejection of everything that affects societal peace, all emphasizing in their statements that Jordanians are one family united by the homeland and a common destiny, and that targeting places of worship and terrorizing safe citizens contradicts religious, human, and national values.
For his part, the Director of Culture of Irbid Governorate, Dr. Sultan Al-Zaghoul, affirmed that national unity and cohesion among the Jordanian people constitute a fundamental pillar in maintaining Jordan's security and stability, and that the values of brotherhood, tolerance, and coexistence that unite Jordanians, Muslims and Christians, will remain rooted in the conscience of Jordanian society, resilient against attempts to sow discord and hatred.
Al-Zaghoul said that the painful events witnessed in Karak Governorate call for strengthening the spirit of solidarity and national cohesion, and adhering to human and moral values that respect the human right to life, security, and worship, stressing that the attack on safe citizens and places of worship represents an infringement on the national and human values that all components of society believe in.
He added that culture plays a pivotal role in enhancing societal awareness, consolidating the culture of dialogue and acceptance of the other, and rejecting extremism, violence, and hate speech, noting that cultural institutions, forums, associations, and artistic troupes are required to continue their awareness and national role in protecting the social fabric and promoting the values of citizenship and belonging.
Al-Zaghoul stressed the importance of accuracy in circulating information, not being drawn into rumors or inflammatory rhetoric, and resorting to the law and official authorities, in a way that preserves societal peace and enhances confidence in state institutions.
He pointed out that Jordan, with its wise Hashemite leadership and the awareness of its people, relies on a firm legacy of brotherhood, solidarity, and shared responsibility, affirming that protecting national unity is a collective responsibility that requires the concerted efforts of official, cultural, and societal institutions, and continuous work to spread the values of tolerance, moderation, and peace.
Al-Zaghoul concluded by expressing his sincere condolences and sympathy to the families of the victims, asking God to cover them with His vast mercy, to grant their families patience and solace, to grant the injured a speedy recovery, and to protect Jordan, its leadership, and its people, and to perpetuate upon it the blessing of security, stability, and national unity. Ajloun activists emphasize national unity and the rejection of extremism.
