The Mayor of Ramtha Municipality, Engineer Jamal Abu Obaid, inaugurated the art exhibition "On the Shoulders of Color" by artists Rama Al-Khasawneh, Engineer Sana Al-Khasawneh, and Mona Athamina, which was held at the Irbid Cultural Center under the Directorate of Culture, as part of the Bani Obaid District Cultural Celebration for the year 2026.
During his patronage of the exhibition opening, Abu Obaid emphasized that Bani Obaid District is rich with a large group of artists and enjoys an authentic cultural, heritage, and artistic reserve, noting that the holding of this exhibition and the selection of Bani Obaid District is a true crowning of these exceptional artistic and creative talents that reflect the national identity and artistic beauty.
For her part, artist Mona Athamina explained that the exhibition includes about 60 figurative and abstract paintings that vary in their artistic styles and themes, where the works of the participants varied between realistic figurative art that documents the popular heritage and the deep-rooted relationship of man with his land and nature, and contemporary abstract art that conveys deep human emotions and visions, adding that the artists were keen to highlight through their paintings the suffering of the Palestinian people and convey images of steadfastness and the human reality with expressive artistic and emotional touches, appreciating the patronage of Engineer Abu Obaid, the attendance of the public, and the continuous support for the plastic and cultural movement.
