Al-Rawashdeh inaugurates "Irbid Narrative" at the Cultural Center

Minister of Culture Mustafa Al-Rawashdeh inaugurated the "Historical Narrative of Irbid Governorate" project at the Cultural Center in Irbid, in the presence of Bani Obaid District Administrator Dr. Ali Al-Hawamdeh, Irbid Director of Culture Dr. Sultan Al-Zghoul, as well as a number of deputies and those interested and active in the cultural and community fields.

Al-Rawashdeh emphasized that Irbid Governorate, with its ancient history and extensive civilizational and cultural heritage, deserves to have its historical narrative documented to highlight its deep-rooted milestones and to serve as a reference for visitors and researchers.

He explained that the project showcases the history of the place and the people in the governorate through brief and documented historical messages spanning from ancient times to the modern era, in both Arabic and English, with the provision of QR code technology on the displayed panels to enable visitors to obtain further information.

The Minister pointed out that the design and artistic layout of the narrative were inspired by the local environment of Irbid, its plains, its red soil, and the meanders of the Yarmouk River, in harmony with the cultural and civilizational identity of the governorate.
