Hijazi: JEICO Programs Provide 108 Job Opportunities in Karak

The Executive Director of the Jordan Economic Development Corporation (JEICO), Ghalib Hijazi, confirmed that a viable and growing project not only benefits its owner but also contributes to development, job creation, economic activity stimulation, supply chain enhancement, and the building of a more sustainable local economy.

Hijazi noted that during a dialogue meeting held by JEICO with beneficiaries of its programs in Karak Governorate on Wednesday, 40 projects in Karak Governorate benefited from various JEICO programs, distributed across industrial, agricultural, and service sectors, and these projects contributed to providing 108 job opportunities, considering these numbers to reflect a tangible economic and developmental impact of the support, and demonstrating the ability of local projects to create value and opportunities in the governorate.

He explained that beneficiary meetings provide an opportunity to closely understand the reality of projects and their achievements, listen to the challenges faced by their owners, and the opportunities they aspire to invest in, including opportunities for expansion, business development, and reaching new markets.

He added that JEICO views project owners as true partners in development and the development of the institution's programs and services, emphasizing the importance of listening to their opinions and suggestions to ensure that support is more closely linked to the actual needs of the projects and more capable of creating a sustainable impact.

For his part, Karak Governor Qabilan Al-Sharif emphasized the importance of supporting economic projects in the governorate, enhancing their ability to grow and sustain, contributing to stimulating the local economy and opening more opportunities for the governorate's residents, praising the role of JEICO in empowering project owners and supporting economic development efforts.

The meeting included a live dialogue with the beneficiary project owners about their experiences in benefiting from JEICO programs, the impact of the support on the development of their businesses, the challenges facing their projects, and the opportunities available to them, as well as future proposals and aspirations that would enhance their ability to grow and expand.

The Karak meeting is part of a series of meetings organized by JEICO with beneficiaries of its programs in various governorates of the Kingdom, aiming to enhance direct communication with project owners, listen to their experiences and needs, and benefit from their opinions in developing the support and services system provided to them.

Through these meetings, JEICO continues to affirm its approach based on partnership with project owners, stemming from its belief that project growth means more opportunities, and their success represents a fundamental part of the economic development journey in the governorates.
