"JEICO" Concludes Training Workshop on Commercial Franchising

The Jordan Economic Development Corporation (JEICO) concluded the specialized training workshop titled: "Commercial Franchising Rights – The Path to Expansion and Excellence".

The workshop was held on September 21 and 22 with the participation of about 50 business owners and entrepreneurs, aiming to enhance the readiness of Jordanian enterprises to expand, develop their brands, and reach new markets locally, regionally, and internationally.

The Executive Director of the institution, Ghalib Hijazi, confirmed that commercial franchising represents one of the paths that Jordanian enterprises can benefit from to transform their market success into a scalable and expandable business model, emphasizing the importance of providing business owners with the knowledge and tools that help them evaluate expansion options and choose the appropriate path for the nature of their business and its growth stage.

Hijazi explained that supporting small and medium enterprises, enhancing their competitiveness, and their readiness for growth and market access is a key focus in JEICO's work, stressing the importance of building the capacities of enterprises and enabling them to develop scalable business models, thereby enhancing the opportunities for Jordanian brands to reach new markets.

The workshop included a set of practical and specialized topics, such as the legal aspects of commercial franchising, building the financial model, preparing operational manuals, marketing franchising, unifying the identity and experience of branches, and follow-up and evaluation indicators, in addition to the practical steps necessary for building a comprehensive and scalable commercial franchising system.

Expert and trainer Nu'man Abu Rumailah emphasized the importance of the role played by the Jordan Economic Development Corporation in supporting Jordanian enterprises and disseminating specialized knowledge in the field of commercial franchising, indicating that JEICO plays an important and pioneering role in enhancing awareness of this model as one of the tools for expansion and growth for enterprises, and preparing business owners to understand its requirements and prepare for it professionally.

Abu Rumailah pointed out that the readiness of an enterprise for commercial franchising is not only related to its commercial success, but also to its ability to transform its business model into a clear and replicable system, including documenting processes and procedures, preparing operational manuals, setting clear standards for operation and quality, along with providing training and follow-up mechanisms, to support organized and sustainable expansion.

The workshop also provided participants with an opportunity to evaluate the readiness of their enterprises to enter the commercial franchising field, and to identify the aspects that need development, documentation, or testing before moving to the expansion phase.

This workshop is part of JEICO's efforts to enhance the capabilities of Jordanian enterprises and increase their readiness for growth and expansion, by providing the knowledge and practical tools that help business owners and entrepreneurs develop their business models and enhance their ability to compete and access markets.
