"Greater Mafraq" intensifies its winter preparations

The Chairman of the Greater Mafraq Municipality Committee, Dr. Mohammad Khalaf Al-Fayez, inspected the course of Wadi Mafraq to examine its current state and needs, and to determine the necessary measures to maintain cleanliness and public safety, and to reduce the risks of rainwater accumulation during the winter season.

Al-Fayez directed the transport, labor, and maintenance directorates to intensify cleaning campaigns in the valley course, remove accumulated waste, and address locations that require cleaning and expansion, contributing to improving the flow of rainwater drainage, reducing potential risks, and protecting citizens and property.

He emphasized that this tour comes in the context of field monitoring of locations that may be affected by weather conditions during the winter, identifying their needs for cleaning, maintenance, and rehabilitation work, and taking the necessary measures according to available resources.

He pointed out that this tour also comes as part of a series of field tours being carried out in the city's neighborhoods, streets, and service locations to follow up on their needs on the ground, enhance their readiness to deal with weather conditions, and reduce the effects of rain and water accumulation during the winter season.

Al-Fayez was accompanied during the tour by the Director of Supplies and Procurement, Engineer Raed Al-Qallab, the Director of Transport, Nayel Al-Daghmi, the Head of the Cleaning Department, Ahmed Shehda, the Director of Maintenance, Mohammad Hamid Al-Hawamdeh, and the Director of the Crisis and Emergency Unit, Huthaifa Al-Abbas.
