Observers believe that adopting the electronic numbering system and direct linkage with the "Sanad" application and the Ministry of Agriculture’s electronic portal will be a highly accurate and easy technical tool. It will redraw the field map for livestock breeders in the governorate and ensure that support and vaccines reach actual field breeders without the hassle of old paper procedures.
The Tafila Agriculture Directorate had previously confirmed in a press statement that inspection and audit campaigns detected the presence of thousands of fictitious livestock heads within hundreds of fictitious holdings that were registered to some livestock breeders in Tafila.
The Director of Agriculture for Tafila Governorate, Engineer Bilal Al-Haloul, told "Alrai" that the directorate, through the Livestock Division, has begun implementing the executive procedures for the national campaign for electronic numbering of sheep and goats in the governorate.
Al-Haloul called on all livestock breeders registered with the directorate to take the initiative to visit the relevant department to complete the process of rectifying the status of their holdings and updating their field data, in addition to ensuring the completion of all approved veterinary vaccinations to guarantee the continuity of receiving support and services and to avoid the deletion of non-updated holdings within the officially specified timelines.
He explained that this step comes within the Ministry of Agriculture's strategy to regulate the livestock sector and update databases related to breeders and their holdings accurately, pointing out that the shift toward electronic numbering contributes directly to raising the efficiency of veterinary coverage, facilitating the tracking of livestock health status, and ensuring fair and organized distribution of agricultural services and supplies, which reflects positively on the sector's productivity and the protection of livestock in all villages and regions of the governorate.
He added that the new digital documentation mechanism is characterized by absolute ease and high accuracy in recording and controlling data, as it relies entirely on the Ministry of Agriculture's electronic portal, which is accessed exclusively using the digital identity via the "Sanad" application.
Farmer Ahmed Al-Hajaya explained that linking the numbering to the "Sanad" application will create a qualitative leap in saving time and effort, especially since the digital documentation process in Jordan has become characterized by ease and clarity, which will spare livestock breeders the trouble of travel and repeated paper reviews to obtain services.
Farmer Khalil Al-Saoud indicated that the digital system will provide high accuracy in maintaining livestock records and veterinary vaccination dates, which gives the breeder the ability to follow the health map of their holding with extreme precision and ensure it receives vaccines at their specified times without any delay.
Farmer Mahmoud Al-Saudi emphasized that data automation is a fundamental step to protect the rights of actual field breeders, as it ensures that veterinary supplies and government support reach those who deserve them with complete transparency, calling on all breeders in the governorate to take the initiative to activate their accounts and benefit from this modern digital system.
