The activities of the "Dana Creative Camp" in its eleventh edition for 2026 kicked off today at the Dana Hotel in the town of Qadisiyah, Busaira District, with the participation of a number of artists from various governorates of the Kingdom, with the aim of consolidating national identity and documenting the Jordanian narrative.
Acting Director of Tafila Culture, Mahmoud Al-Amayreh, emphasized that the continuation of the camp for the eleventh year establishes it as a high-level cultural platform for exchanging experiences between different artistic schools and refining local skills by providing an opportunity for the governorate's talents to interact with national creative figures.
Al-Amayreh explained that choosing the Dana region, with its stunning environmental and tourist nature and a cultural heritage deeply rooted in history, gives artists an inspirational space to produce quality works in the fields of Arabic calligraphy, fine arts, and sculpture, which express the authenticity of the Jordanian cultural fabric.
He added that this event falls within the approved strategy to stimulate the cultural movement in the governorates and activate the role of the arts as an expressive tool that contributes to the tourism and aesthetic promotion of Tafila Governorate and makes it a major destination for creativity.
The camp will conclude its activities next Thursday under the patronage of the Minister of Culture, where a comprehensive art exhibition will be launched for the public featuring the artworks produced during the camp period, to document the Jordanian cultural and human heritage.
The organization of the camp, which lasts for four days, comes as a creative embodiment of the royal directives and national efforts emphasized by His Royal Highness Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II during his visit to Tafila Governorate, in which he stressed the importance of documenting the Jordanian narrative and highlighting the historical and cultural specificity of the governorate and the entire nation.
