The union leaders emphasized that Jordan was and will remain a country of religion, moderation, and tolerance, and an oasis of security and safety built by the Hashemites and Jordanians with their blood and sacrifices throughout history, affirming that the Kingdom will remain resilient and steadfast in the face of anyone who dares to undermine the nation's security or harm its national unity.
The Irbid unionists called on all state institutions, both official and civil, as well as civil society organizations, to join forces and adopt this national project to counter hate speech, in line with the historical and religious message of the Jordanian state, which has been characterized for decades by moderation, has upheld the choice of tolerance, and has always been a safe haven for every oppressed person.
In the details of the statements to "Alrai," Lawyer Mohammad Bani Hamad (Secretary of the Bar Association branch) affirmed that "Jordan is a state of institutions and law, and it constitutes a model and an example to be followed in the enforcement and sovereignty of the law," stressing that the cowardly terrorist act targets the Jordanian citizen as a whole, and that standing behind the Hashemite leadership and the security services is an inevitable Jordanian choice.
For his part, Dr. Rami Al-Omari (Head of the Medical Association branch in Irbid) affirmed that "the Medical Association adopts this national project with full force, and emphasizes the pivotal role played by professional associations as an effective societal force, as an extension of what colleagues in the associations emphasized regarding the importance of joining all efforts to activate this national project and protect societal awareness."
Engineer Mahmoud Rababa (Head of the Engineers Association branch and member of the Governorate Council) highlighted the influential power of the associations, explaining that "the Engineers Association branch in Irbid alone includes a large number exceeding 28,000 members from the elite and engineers," which places the association at the forefront of institutions concerned with confronting deviant ideology, pointing out that the Jordanian people represent one family that has coexisted peacefully throughout history, and that the social fabric is resistant to penetration.
In turn, Dr. Omar Al-Naqrash (Head of the Dental Association branch) affirmed that "professional associations have a very large and influential role in the street and society, as they include large numbers of different and educated segments," stressing the absolute rejection by the associations of terrorism and violence in all its forms, and confirming that targeting places of worship will only increase Jordanians' steadfastness and cohesion.
Meanwhile, Engineer Bashar Al-Nawafleh (Head of the Agricultural Engineers Association branch) explained that this national project, which the Irbid associations are adopting today, embodies "the true role of the associations from the societal aspect; as they include large numbers of members and are considered one of the most prominent influential guiding platforms in leading public awareness," pointing out that the project will be generalized to all governorates of the Kingdom to promote the values of citizenship and protect Jordan's internal house.
