Dentistry at Al-Ahliyya Amman University participates in a scientific conference in Jeddah

Dr. Dima Abu Al-Teen, an endodontist, Jordanian Board certified specialist, and an academic and researcher in dental education, participated with a keynote lecture at the joint conference of the Arab Society of Endodontics and the Saudi Endodontic Society, which was recently held in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

The lecture addressed the role of artificial intelligence in advancing the field of endodontics, moving beyond its traditional uses in detecting lesions through radiographs to highlight its potential in supporting various stages of the clinical pathway, including diagnosis, treatment planning, clinical decision-making, and outcome assessment, in addition to its role in preparing and training future dentists.

Dr. Abu Al-Teen emphasized the importance of adopting artificial intelligence applications responsibly and ethically, based on scientific evidence, to ensure the safe and effective integration of these technologies into clinical practice, contributing to the enhancement of the quality of dental healthcare. Dr. Abu Al-Teen represented Al-Ahliyya Amman University and the Faculty of Dentistry at this scientific forum, alongside a group of regional and international experts and specialists.

She also presented the university's commemorative shield to the organizing entity, in appreciation of the professional relationships and ties that unite the university with the community of endodontic specialists in the Arab world and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

This participation comes within the framework of Al-Ahliyya Amman University's keenness to strengthen its presence at international scientific conferences and forums, highlight the academic and research competencies of its faculty members, and keep pace with technological developments and digital transformation in the healthcare and dental education sectors.
