The Ministries of Culture and Environment had launched the competition in response to the directives of His Royal Highness Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II, within the executive program of the cleanliness strategy for the years 2026–2027, aiming to utilize arts in spreading environmental awareness and promoting a culture of cleanliness, recycling, and environmental preservation.

The competition comes within the framework of the partnership between the two ministries, encouraging students, youth, and artists to submit artworks that address the phenomenon of random littering and present visual messages that promote social responsibility and the preservation of public spaces.

The winning artworks are scheduled to be exhibited in a national exhibition and utilized in awareness campaigns aimed at promoting environmental awareness and reducing random littering.
