"Culture" Opens Participation in the "Child Creativity" Competition Next Sunday

The Ministry of Culture, through the Directorate of Child Culture, announced the opening of participation in the Child Creativity Competition for the year 2026 starting from Sunday 20 September of this year until Thursday 29 October next, with the aim of discovering creative energies among children, nurturing and developing them, and encouraging a spirit of constructive competition among them.

The competition targets two age groups, the first from 6 to 12 years and the second from 13 to 18 years, within the fields of drawing and essay.

The drawing field is titled "Draw My Story in My Place" and deals with drawing a place, a story, or a heritage from the Jordanian environment, while the essay field is titled "Tell Our Story" and deals with topics of Jordanian identity, heritage, place, customs and traditions, and folk tales.

The competition requires the applicant to be of Jordanian nationality, to submit only one work in one field, and that the work has not won a previous award, in addition to filling out the participation form. It is also required that the submitted works be the child's own production, with the right of the judging committees to verify this.

In the essay field, it is required that the participation be in Standard Arabic and printed, and not less than 150 words for the age group from 6 to 12 years and 250 words for the age group from 13 to 18 years.

Participations are received at the Ministry of Culture and the Directorates of Culture in the governorates, while those wishing to participate can view the competition conditions and obtain the nomination form from the Directorate of Child Culture or the Directorates of Culture and Education in the governorates
