The Director of Agriculture for the Taibeh District, olive cultivation and olive oil technology expert, Dr. Eng. Hashem Al-Omari, called on olive farmers to choose the appropriate time and location for harvesting olive fruits to ensure the best quantity and quality of oil and to maintain the economic return.

Al-Omari explained that the timing of the harvest does not depend on a fixed date, but rather on the variety, climatic conditions, and the location of the farm, pointing out the necessity of determining the purpose of production, whether to obtain the highest quality oil, production quantity, or fruits for pickling. He also emphasized the importance of relying on visible signs of ripeness and laboratory indicators, avoiding excessively early or late harvesting, and following proper practices in transportation and pressing to preserve the characteristics of the oil and reduce waste.
