Aramco calls on its employees to work remotely and confirms that operations continue normally

Aramco issued directives on Wednesday for employees to work from home, but operations are continuing normally.

Three sources told Reuters that the headquarters of the Saudi oil company Aramco in Dhahran suffered extensive damage as a result of the attack that took place on Tuesday, which caused a fire that spread across several floors.

One of the sources indicated that some tasks were transferred to offices abroad.

The Saudi Ministry of Energy stated that the attack, which occurred on Tuesday amidst escalating assaults by the Houthi militia, caused a limited fire.

The Houthis had announced that they targeted Aramco, King Khalid Airport, and an oil refinery in Riyadh, threatening to continue their attacks on Saudi infrastructure.

In recent weeks, most Houthi strikes have targeted infrastructure in the suburbs of the capital or Riyadh airport, but residents in the city center have begun to hear powerful explosions and see interceptor missiles in the skies.

Repeated strikes on Riyadh airport included one that resulted in the death of 13 people and the injury of more than 300 others on Saturday, in the most violent attack on Saudi territory in more than a decade. At least 20 people have died in total Houthi attacks on Saudi airports since last week.
