"Aqaba Development": Jordanians' unity is stronger than terrorism and attempts to sow discord

The Aqaba Development Corporation condemned the heinous terrorist crime that targeted the Hammoud Church in Karak Governorate, affirming that this cowardly criminal assault constitutes a flagrant aggression against the sanctity of places of worship and human and religious values, and a sinful attempt to undermine Jordan's security, stability, and firm national unity.
The company affirmed that the criminal hands that reached out to a house of God did not only target a place of worship, but also attempted to undermine the values of a nation founded on love, brotherhood, and tolerance. However, Jordan, whose people have forged their unity through their awareness, belonging, and sacrifices, is too great to be harmed by the bullets of treachery, and too strong for the ideas of extremism and hatred to penetrate its national fabric.
The Aqaba Development Corporation stressed that Jordanians of all backgrounds stand as one in the face of terrorism, and that churches and mosques in Jordan will remain witnesses to the unity of a people who are not divided by creeds and whose cohesion is not tampered with by attempts at discord. Harming the security of any Jordanian is a harm to the security of all Jordanians, and an assault on any place of worship is an assault on the values and constants that the nation cherishes and protects.
The company further emphasized that terrorism will not find a loophole in Jordan to penetrate its national unity, nor a place for its poisonous ideas among its people, and that these crimes will only increase Jordanians' determination to confront all attempts to destabilize their security and stability, and to adhere to their national heritage that has made unity and cohesion an impenetrable dam in the face of challenges.
It expressed its deep pride in the Jordanian Armed Forces and security services, and affirmed its steadfast support behind the Hashemite leadership led by His Majesty King Abdullah II bin Al-Hussein, and its absolute support for the measures taken by the state to protect the lives of citizens, safeguard the nation's security and the rule of law, and pursue everyone who threatens its safety and stability.
The company reiterated that Jordanian blood is precious and not subject to compromise, that Jordan's security and national unity are above all considerations, and that this nation, which has faced terrorism with steadfastness and courage, will remain defiant against the forces of darkness, standing tall with its Hashemite leadership, fortified by the unity of its people, and firmly established by its national institutions.
