"Amman Industry" and GIZ I-PSD Project Organize a Workshop to Support Industrial Innovation

The Amman Chamber of Industry, in collaboration with the "Innovative Pathways for Employment Support through Private Sector Development" (I-PSD) project implemented by the German International Cooperation Agency (GIZ), in partnership with the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Supply, and with the support of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), organized an interactive workshop titled "Spotlight on Innovation Support", under the slogan "Enhancing the Competitive Edge of Your Factory Locally and Globally through Innovation", at the Chamber's branch in Sahab (headquarters of the Jordanian Investors Association), with the participation of a number of owners and representatives of companies and factories in the region.
The workshop aimed to introduce small and medium-sized enterprises in the industrial sector to modern tools and practical solutions that enable them to excel in local and global markets, by highlighting innovation as a strategic option for developing industrial products and services, improving their quality, enhancing the efficiency of operational processes, and reshaping the way of working to enhance competitiveness and support sustainable development.
At the opening of the workshop, the President of the Jordanian Investors Association, Majahed Al-Rajabi, emphasized the importance of innovation in enhancing the efficiency of industrial establishments and developing national production lines, noting that strengthening partnerships between the industrial sector, government agencies, and international partners directly contributes to increasing the ability of Jordanian products to reach regional and global markets, praising the ongoing cooperation with the Amman Chamber of Industry in organizing initiatives that serve the industrialists of the region.
During the workshop, the I-PSD GIZ project team presented a comprehensive detailed presentation of the services and technical solutions provided by the project to support ambitious industrial companies, which include assessing readiness for holistic innovation, providing specialized consulting and technical support, in addition to empowerment programs for market access and expansion.
The workshop included interactive activities focusing on developing innovative thinking, simplifying the concepts of innovation and its practical application, and reviewing the return on investment through the introduction of modern technologies and practices.
At the conclusion of the workshop, the application process for benefiting from the consulting services and technical support programs offered by the GIZ I-PSD project in the field of innovation was announced, in support of Jordanian industrial companies and to enable them to enhance their competitive capabilities and continue their growth.
