The President of the Jordan and Amman Chambers of Industry, Engineer Fathi Al-Jaghbir, emphasized the importance of partnership between the industrial and commercial sectors, exchanging information regarding market needs and investment opportunities, and coordinating in presenting common challenges to arrive at well-studied proposals that help improve the business environment and expand growth opportunities.
During a meeting organized by the Al-Rakha Businessmen Association, Al-Jaghbir stated that the industrial sector has witnessed remarkable development over the past years, contributing 40 percent of economic growth in 2025. He added that industrial exports rose from 4.7 billion dinars in 2020 to nearly 8.9 billion dinars in 2025, with growth exceeding 90 percent, pointing out the major royal support received by the industrial sector, which has driven the production wheel and contributed to providing job opportunities within the sector.
For his part, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Al-Rakha Businessmen Association, Rasmi Al-Mallakh, stated that national industry demonstrated during the Corona crisis an ability to innovate, adapt, and respond to the nation's needs under exceptional circumstances, and that the Jordanian industrialist has proven that efficiency and will are capable of turning challenges into solutions that support production and enhance food and pharmaceutical security.
Al-Mallakh emphasized that common interest dictates viewing the relationship between the merchant and the manufacturer as a long-term partnership based on trust, knowledge exchange, and mutual benefit.
He added that the partnership we aspire to begins with understanding each other's needs; for the industrialist to know what the markets demand, and for the merchant to know what Jordanian industry can offer in terms of quality, diversity, and competitiveness.
He pointed out that the industrialist turns an idea into a product, and the merchant opens a path for this product to the consumer and markets. Between production, marketing, distribution, and export, roles complement each other, businesses grow, and job opportunities are generated.
Al-Mallakh noted that the Al-Rakha Businessmen Association looks forward to practical cooperation with the Amman and Jordan Chambers of Industry, and to the continuation of meetings that bring together manufacturers, merchants, and distributors.
The Al-Rakha Businessmen Association was established in 1996 in Amman, and aims to network business owners and economists across various sectors, and to develop entrepreneurial ideas and skills.
