The Jordan Press Foundation "Alrai" and "The Jordan Times" mourned the victims of the terrorist act that took place in the town of Hammoud in Karak Governorate, which claimed the lives of innocent Jordanian citizens, affirming that this crime represents an assault on the right to life and security, and a targeting of the values of coexistence, brotherhood, and national unity that form the pillars of Jordanian society.
The Foundation, represented by its Board of Directors, Director General, editorial staff, administrators, and employees, expressed deep sadness and sorrow over this painful tragedy, extending its sincerest condolences and sympathy to the victims' families and relatives, and to the people of Karak Governorate and all Jordanians.
In a statement, the Foundation affirmed that the unity and cohesion of Jordanians constitute the nation's safety valve, and that targeting any citizen is an assault on Jordan as a whole, and an attempt to undermine its security, stability, and national unity, stressing that confronting terrorism and extremism is a shared national responsibility that requires strengthening the values of citizenship and belonging, consolidating a culture of dialogue and respect for differences, and countering hate speech and incitement and everything that would harm the social fabric.
It stressed that Jordanians, with their history full of solidarity and sacrifices, will remain united in the face of attempts to sow discord and incite strife, affirming the necessity of rallying around the state and its institutions and supporting its efforts in protecting citizens, safeguarding their security and stability, and enforcing the law against anyone who threatens the safety of society or seeks to undermine its unity.
The Foundation concluded its statement by praying that God may cover the victims with His vast mercy and grant them a place in His spacious gardens, inspire their families and relatives with patience and solace, grant the injured a speedy recovery, protect Jordan and its people from all harm, and perpetuate upon it the blessing of security and stability.
