On the sidelines of her participation in launching the activities of the 'Reading Marathon' at Al-Khansa'a Basic School in Al-Sirih, the writer and researcher specializing in children's literature, Dr. Sarah Talib Al-Suhail, drew attention with her interactive presence and her constant emphasis on the importance of printed stories in raising aware generations.
Dr. Al-Suhail's participation in the 'Storyteller' segment was a rich station that students and children interacted with great enthusiasm, where she confirmed in her speech that the pursuit of the world of the child is not just a literary stroll or a fleeting entertainment, but rather an ascent to the throne of responsibility and a great trust that shapes the features of the future; the word we plant in the child's mind today is his intellectual shield and his foundation for building a balanced and creative personality.
She emphasized the need to confront the challenges of the present age, saying:
"Our human and literary duty in an era when screens are snatching the minds of our children calls for presenting a charming alternative that has the same appeal, but builds the soul and refines the spirit, to restore the book and the story to their high status in every home, and to establish the values of goodness, beauty, and pride in identity instead of distraction and superficiality."
During the meeting, Al-Suhail recalled the worlds of her works and beloved literary characters—from Adam's travels and his research in our world, to the secrets of 'The Princess of the Lake' and the worlds of 'Nada and the Bird of the Herbs' and 'Feroza'—explaining that she always strives to combine the magic of fantasy with the wisdom of reality in stories that respect the intelligence of the young and plant in them the seeds of love, tolerance, and courage in the face of difficulties.
Al-Suhail's presence was widely praised by educators and those responsible for the event, who appreciated her unique ability to penetrate the worlds of childhood with an enjoyable educational style that addresses the minds of children and touches their hearts, so that the book remains the most suitable and beautiful haven for building generations that create the future with awareness and passion.
