Al-Azhar University strongly condemned the targeting of an electricity distribution station in Medina, affirming its absolute rejection of this attack that threatens the city's security and endangers it.
It emphasized that any harm to the safety of Medina, its residents, visitors, and pilgrims to the Prophet's Mosque contradicts the sanctity of holy sites and their status in the hearts of Muslims.
Al-Azhar asserted that targeting Medina is an affront to the feelings of Muslims worldwide, as it is the home of the Prophet's migration, the location of his noble mosque, and the heart of Muslims in the east and west. The Almighty has honored it and bestowed upon it a great status that necessitates its protection, preservation, and the safeguarding of its security and safety.
Al-Azhar renewed its full solidarity with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and its total rejection of anything that threatens its security and the safety of its territories, asking Allah -exalted be He- to protect the Two Holy Mosques from all harm and evil, and to continue to bestow upon them and their people the blessings of security, stability, and prosperity.
