Dr. Talal Abu-Ghazaleh condemned in the strongest terms the cowardly terrorist attack that targeted Hamoud Church in Al-Karak Governorate on Friday, which resulted in innocent victims and injuries, stressing that targeting innocent lives and houses of worship is a heinous crime that has no connection to religion or humanity.
Abu-Ghazaleh affirmed that terrorism will not be able to destabilize Jordan's security or undermine its national unity, and that the blood of Jordanians and their shared history are stronger than all attempts to sow discord and division, stressing that Muslims and Christians in Jordan have been and will remain united in the face of anyone who attempts to tamper with the security and stability of the nation.
Abu-Ghazaleh expressed his deepest condolences and sympathy to the families of the victims, wishing a speedy recovery to the injured, and affirming his firm confidence in the Jordanian security services and their ability to confront terrorism, pursue its perpetrators, and bring them to justice.
Abu-Ghazaleh concluded by emphasizing that Jordan, with its wise Hashemite leadership and cohesive people, will remain resilient against terrorism and strife, and that its national unity is a red line that the hand of treachery and criminality will not be able to reach.
