President Donald Trump said on Tuesday that he will respect the results of the US midterm elections scheduled for next week "if they are fair elections," in a new hint at unsubstantiated allegations of fraud.
In a statement made while heading to the state of Texas to participate in an election rally, Trump explained that he would work with the Democrats if the Republicans lost their control of Congress, but he warned at the same time that, as president, he has a "powerful" veto over bills.
