"A Nation's Uprising".. A solidarity cultural evening affirming the unity of Jordanians in the face of terrorism

The Creative Team Forum for Culture and Arts, in cooperation with a number of cultural forums and bodies, organized a national solidarity evening titled "A Nation's Uprising" at the forum's headquarters, with the participation of the Islamic preacher and thinker Dr. Hamdi Murad, to affirm the unity of Jordanians in the face of terrorism and adherence to the values of national belonging and social solidarity.

The head of the forum, Raed Assaf, praised the efforts of the security services in protecting Jordan's security and dealing with the terrorist incident that targeted Saint George's Church in the town of Hamoud in Karak Governorate, which resulted, according to the article, in the martyrdom and injury of a number of Jordanians, valuing the speed of response and professionalism in dealing with the incident.

Assaf emphasized the importance of the Jordanian position rejecting terrorism and extremist ideology, praising the cohesion of Jordanian society and its rejection of various forms of violence, and stressing the rallying around the Hashemite leadership in facing the challenges that target the security and stability of the homeland.

The evening witnessed participation from the heads and members of the Mahmoud Abu Awad Cultural Foundation, the Future Cultural Forum, the Arab House Cultural Forum, the Ashiyat Forum for Literature and Arts, and the Literary House for Culture and Arts, where the speakers emphasized the importance of national unity and supporting the military and security services, and the necessity of confronting the extremist ideology that threatens social peace.

The participants pointed to the role that cultural forums and institutions can play in spreading awareness, promoting the values of citizenship and tolerance, and confronting hate speech, in a way that contributes to consolidating a culture of dialogue and coexistence among the various components of Jordanian society.

The evening included poetic segments and prose texts presented by poets Ali Al-Faouri, Saleh Al-Jaafra, Taghreed Haddadin, and Mohammed Al-Toura, along with writer Daigham Al-Qassous, where the contributions recalled the sacrifices of the martyrs and expressed pride in the homeland and the values of belonging to it.

The evening comes within the framework of cultural activities that seek to express national solidarity in the face of painful events, and to emphasize the role of culture in enhancing social awareness and consolidating the values of cohesion, tolerance, and the rejection of extremism.
