The Director of Education for the Bani Obaid District, Nasreen Bakkar, announced that the Directorate has issued a second announcement to purchase and expropriate a piece of land in the Aydoun area, with an area of no less than 10 dunams and a width of no less than 45 meters, with the aim of allocating it for the construction of a modern technical school in implementation of the plans and educational strategies of the Ministry of Education.
Bakkar confirmed that the targeted piece of land will be allocated for the construction of the technical school, within the Ministry's expansion plan to establish and develop vocational and technical schools, noting that the text of the announcement stipulated that the plot must be technically and pedagogically suitable, with a slope not exceeding 10%, and be close to the population cluster.
Bakkar explained that the establishment of a technical school in the Aydoun area will alleviate much of the burden on the shoulders of families and parents, due to the urgent and pressing need of the residential neighborhood and the area for such a specialized educational institution, and to reduce the travel of students to distant areas.
She added that the Ministry is moving forward with the expansion of the vocational and technical education system (BTEC), noting that the construction of this school comes within the framework of providing an integrated educational environment equipped with the latest technologies and workshops for BTEC students in the Aydoun area and neighboring areas, which contributes to improving the outputs of vocational education and preparing young people for the requirements of the labor market.
Bakkar called on those wishing to sell from the owners of lands that meet the conditions and specifications to submit the required official documents to the Buildings Department at the Directorate by no later than Thursday, September 24, 2026.
