The weather forecast advisor at the Arab Weather Center, Dr. Jamal Al-Mosawi, said that autumn officially begins on Wednesday, September 23, coinciding with a gradual decrease in temperatures and a noticeable change in weather conditions in the coming days.
Al-Mosawi explained, during his talk on the 'Pulse of Opinion' program via 'Ether of Opinion', that the Kingdom will be affected starting from Friday by a noticeable decrease in temperatures, with chances of scattered rain showers in the northern parts of the Kingdom, gradually extending to some central areas, while autumnal weather will prevail on Saturday with moderate daytime and cool nighttime temperatures.
He pointed out that temperatures will gradually rise on Sunday and Monday, before the weather returns to its moderate autumnal rates starting from Tuesday.
He explained that the autumnal equinox represents a transitional phase between summer and winter, during which temperatures begin to decrease gradually, with the possibility of the Kingdom being affected by cases of atmospheric instability and rainfall during the autumn season.
Al-Mosawi called on drivers to exercise caution and vigilance during periods of rainfall, due to the possibility of a slippery layer forming on the roads, in addition to paying attention to dust and reduced horizontal visibility.
