The Ministry of Water and Irrigation/Water Authority stated that its personnel in the Internal Control Unit, Water Basins, and Central Workshops, in cooperation with the Public Security Directorate/Azraq Badia Security Center and the Ruwaished Security Center, seized an illegal drilling rig in the Ruwaished area during a security campaign while it was digging an illegal well. This comes as part of the ongoing inspection campaigns carried out by the Water Authority in all regions of the Kingdom, in cooperation with the competent authorities, within the framework of the campaign to tighten control over water sources.
The Ministry added that its personnel also managed to seize another illegal drilling rig hidden in the Azraq basin area, where it was concealed behind a poultry farm.
