UN renews its condemnation of Houthi attacks on Saudi Arabia

The United Nations renewed last night its condemnation of the ongoing cross-border Houthi attacks against the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, including the recent attacks in Jazan and Najran.

The official spokesperson for the United Nations, Stéphane Dujarric, pointed to the attacks reported earlier today near Riyadh and its airport, expressing the international organization's grave concern regarding the ongoing military escalation inside and around Yemen, including heavy fighting on multiple fronts.

The United Nations called on all parties to exercise restraint, urged them to fulfill their obligations under international humanitarian law, refrain from launching direct attacks on civilians and civilian infrastructure, and also ensure the protection of civilians from risks.
