US President Donald Trump said on Monday that Iran wants to reach an agreement with the United States "very quickly", affirming that he will decide whether Washington will engage in this endeavor.
Trump wrote on the "Truth Social" platform that "the failed state of Iran wants to conclude an agreement, and very quickly", adding "I will decide whether the United States will choose to engage in that or not, and it is an idea we are open to"
Trump had previously confirmed that Tehran wants to reach an agreement "at any cost", but at the same time he stressed that he would not make a "bad deal" with Iran, affirming that the agreement that Washington can accept must be perfect.
Trump said that the war with Iran could end immediately after the US midterm elections, and possibly before, stressing that Iran "cannot have a nuclear weapon, and will not have a nuclear weapon"
He also pointed out that gasoline prices will drop "quickly and return to what they were", affirming that the decision to go to war was necessary.
