US President Donald Trump announced on Sunday his full support for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in his re-election race, praising his leadership and partnership with the United States in confronting Iran.
In a post on Truth Social, Trump praised Netanyahu, stating that he has been a "great wartime prime minister and a greater partner for peace" in the face of Iran, noting that Tehran has been chanting "Death to Israel, Death to America" for 51 years, and adding that Iran has been systematically destroyed militarily and financially.
Trump warned that if Iran does not change its approach quickly, the United States will complete the mission soon, pointing out that if Israel does not have the right leadership, which he described as Netanyahu, Washington would be forced to take on the task itself, which he said he is not inclined to do.
Trump praised what he described as Netanyahu's strength and courage in the face of significant opposition, including within Israel, saying that he did not weaken under pressure, but rather grew stronger.
Trump confirmed that his message represents a full endorsement of Netanyahu in his race for re-election as prime minister.
