US President Donald Trump said on Tuesday that he spoke with the Saudi Crown Prince, indicating that he might ask Turkey to intervene in Yemen, in light of what he described as the Houthis acting "very badly."
Trump described Iran as a "failed state," saying that it has no economy and does not pay its soldiers' salaries, adding that the United States will make a decision regarding it.
In a different context, Trump affirmed that the United States has not stopped providing intelligence assistance to Ukraine, stressing its desire to end the war.
For his part, a US official said that Washington warned Iran against attacking its military vessels, affirming that the United States will respond by targeting Iranian ships if one of its vessels is attacked.
The official added that Washington continues to counter what he described as Iranian hostile actions by repelling attacks and ensuring the continued flow of maritime navigation.
