US President Donald Trump said he does not believe that China and Russia are helping Iran "at all," adding that Moscow and Beijing have "a lot to lose" if they were to provide support to Tehran.
In a post on the Truth Social platform, Trump stated that he had seen comments from his critics and opponents suggesting that China and Russia are providing assistance to Iran.
He wrote, "If they are doing it, it is at a very limited level, but I don't believe they are doing it at all. They have a lot to lose, and we will know about it, and we will know very quickly."
In July, Trump said he trusted that China and Russia would not help Tehran in the war, but warned that if they intervened in the conflict, it would be "very bad for them."
The United States has been at war with Iran since February 28, when Washington and Israel launched attacks on the Islamic Republic, while Tehran responded by launching strikes on Israel and Gulf states.
Since then, US and Israeli strikes on Iran and Israeli attacks on Lebanon have resulted in thousands of deaths and the displacement of millions.
Trump had previously described Chinese President Xi Jinping and Russian President Vladimir Putin as "neutral" in the Iran war.
Moscow and Beijing have close ties with Tehran. Russia says the Iran war could lead to a nuclear arms race in the Middle East, while Beijing has condemned Washington's attacks on Tehran, describing them as a flagrant violation of Iranian sovereignty.
Last month, Trump warned Xi against providing support to Iran during the Chinese president's visit to Washington, and the US ambassador in Beijing said at the time that Trump had received assurances that China would not do so.
The warning came amid reports that China had supplied Iran with shoulder-fired air defense missile launchers, and that Tehran had found ways to circumvent sanctions imposed on its oil sales with Chinese help.
