CNN reported on Sunday that Trump must decide the fate of the former fiancée of his eldest son, Donald Jr., quickly.
For its part, The Wall Street Journal has published a series of embarrassing articles in recent days concerning the former Fox News host, who has become one of the figures of the pro-Trump "Make America Great Again" movement.
According to the newspaper, which based its report on screenshots, Guilfoyle exchanged messages over several months with Eric Deters, an attorney and former congressional candidate for Kentucky, seeking to write off a personal credit card debt of $100,000.
Since 2020, this wealthy Republican donor has provided hundreds of thousands of dollars to the Trump family and supported the camp of the winner of the 2024 presidential election.
However, a request from Guilfoyle in July 2025 appeared to be more personal, as it concerned settling her credit card balance, writing, "Honey, I need you to do this for me today."
She added, according to the newspaper, in what it said was sent via the Signal app, "It won't show if you wire the money to American Express."
Eric Deters did not follow through, asserting that it would jeopardize his marriage, according to The Wall Street Journal, which noted that a lawyer for Guilfoyle questioned the authenticity of the published messages without providing further details.
In its latest revelation, The Wall Street Journal reported on Saturday, this time based on recordings, that there were conversations in which the ambassador boasted about luxury trips and stays funded by Greek businessmen.
In another conversation cited by the newspaper, the ambassador expressed her extreme anger with a barrage of profanities for not being included on the guest list for a dinner held on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum in Davos last January.
The American press has also covered news in recent days about another potential conflict of interest involving Guilfoyle, who was also the wife of Democratic California Governor Gavin Newsom.
The latest post published by Guilfoyle on X on Monday shows her alongside the Spanish Ambassador to Greece during a reception for Spain's National Day.
