Press reports indicated that the Turkish club Trabzonspor has responded to a request from its Egyptian star, Mohamed Salah, to offer a hat inspired by pharaonic headwear for sale in its official TS Club stores.
Trabzonspor is leveraging the global popularity enjoyed by the Egyptian player, both in Turkey and the Arab region, to boost product sales and expand its fan base, while the new pharaonic hat gives this connection a cultural dimension that goes beyond traditional fan merchandise.
The hat was designed with a blend of symbols inspired by ancient Egyptian civilization and Trabzonspor's colors, drawing inspiration from the shape of pharaonic headwear, with the addition of claret and blue colors and the club's logo on the front, combining the Egyptian identity of the 34-year-old star with the colors of his Turkish team.
According to reports, the hat was released in two different sizes, priced at 1,699.99 Turkish Lira, equivalent to about 34.22 US dollars.
Mohamed Salah's impact since moving to Trabzonspor has not been limited to his performance on the pitch, but has extended to fan attendance and the club's commercial sales, which have seen remarkable demand for products associated with the Egyptian star.
Turkish media reports stated that sales of Trabzonspor jerseys exceeded 116,000 shirts in less than two months since Salah joined, compared to about 46,000 shirts during the same period of the previous season, marking a significant increase in demand for the club's products.
The city also witnessed remarkable displays of celebration for the Egyptian star, after a fan appeared wearing a pharaonic costume and using camels in front of the "Papara Park" stadium before one of the team's matches, in a scene that reflected the scale of enthusiasm that accompanied Salah's arrival at the club.
It is noteworthy that Mohamed Salah (34 years old) has scored 10 goals in a Trabzonspor jersey during 12 matches in various competitions, in addition to 4 assists, since joining the Turkish team from Liverpool in the summer of 2026.
Trabzonspor is preparing to face Çaykur Rizespor tomorrow, Monday, in the Turkish Super Lig.
