Thwarting an infiltration attempt on the northern front and arresting 4 people

The Northern Military Region thwarted, on Saturday evening, an infiltration attempt by four people across one of the border fronts, after Border Guard forces managed to monitor them as they attempted to cross the border illegally.
Immediately, the forces dealt with the situation in accordance with the applicable rules of engagement, and succeeded in arresting the infiltrators without allowing them to cross the border. They were referred to the competent authorities to complete the legal procedures against them.
The Jordanian Armed Forces affirm that Border Guard units continue to perform their duty with utmost vigilance and firmness, as part of their responsibility to protect the Kingdom's borders, safeguard its sovereignty, and counter any infiltration attempts or illegal activities that may affect the security and stability of the homeland.
