The Northern Military Region thwarted on Saturday an infiltration attempt by a person across one of its border fronts, after Border Guard forces managed to monitor him while he was attempting to illegally cross the border.
Border Guard forces dealt with the infiltrator in accordance with the applicable rules of engagement, and succeeded in arresting him and transferring him to the relevant authorities to take the necessary legal measures against him.
The Jordanian Armed Forces affirmed that the Border Guard forces are proceeding with carrying out their duties with high efficiency and capability to protect the Kingdom's borders, safeguard its sovereignty, and firmly counter various forms of infiltration and illicit activities, thereby enhancing the Kingdom's security and stability and preserving the safety of the homeland and the citizen.
