The Northern Military Region thwarted an infiltration attempt by a person across one of its border fronts on Tuesday evening, after Border Guard forces spotted him attempting to cross the border illegally.
Border Guard forces dealt with the infiltrator in accordance with the established rules of engagement, managed to arrest him, and referred him to the competent authorities to take the necessary legal measures against him.
The Jordanian Armed Forces affirm that the Border Guard forces continue to carry out their duties with efficiency and competence to protect the Kingdom's borders, safeguard its sovereignty, and firmly confront various forms of infiltration and illegal activities, thereby enhancing the Kingdom's security and stability and preserving the safety of the nation and its citizens.
