Minister of Tourism and Antiquities Dr. Imad Hijazizi continued, on Friday, the work program of the Jordanian delegation in Japan, as part of a move to deepen the Jordanian presence in the Japanese market and expand the scope of tourism cooperation to lead to more solid and sustainable partnerships.
According to a statement by the Tourism Promotion Authority, the delegation began the day with a meeting with the Commissioner of the Japanese Tourism Agency Kimura Norio at the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism, where they discussed institutional cooperation prospects, enhancing the presence of the Jordanian tourism product in the Japanese market, and developing more effective channels to reach new segments of travelers.
On the air connectivity axis, the delegation held two meetings with leaders of Japan Airlines JAL and All Nippon Airways ANA, during which they reviewed means and options for air connectivity between Jordan and Japan, and possible opportunities for their development in the future, which contributes to facilitating access to the Kingdom and supporting the growth of tourism movement between the two countries.
The day concluded with an expanded meeting with several major Japanese tourism and travel companies and offices, dedicated to presenting the strengths of the Jordanian tourism product, exploring opportunities for developing tourism programs directed to the Japanese market, and enhancing direct cooperation with the Jordanian tourism sector to increase the number of visitors, extend their stay, and expand the scope of their experience in the Kingdom.
These meetings come within a direction aimed at transforming interest in the Japanese market into practical partnerships and more sustainable tourism channels, and establishing Jordan's position as an integrated destination that combines cultural depth, diversity of experience, and quality of the tourism product.
