Syria.. Israel shells the vicinity of "Tel Kroum" in the Quneitra countryside with 3 shells

The Israeli army shelled, on Wednesday, the vicinity of "Tel Kroum" in the countryside of Quneitra Governorate, southern Syria, with 3 artillery shells.

The Syrian state-run "Al-Ekhbariya" channel reported that "the Israeli occupation forces are shelling the vicinity of Tel Kroum in the Quneitra countryside with 3 artillery shells," without further details regarding the extent of the damage or whether there were any injuries.

On Tuesday, Israeli forces released a young Syrian man they had abducted on Monday evening during their incursion into the village of Bariqa in the Quneitra Governorate countryside, according to the channel.

On Monday, the Syrian news agency "SANA" reported that "an Israeli occupation force consisting of four military vehicles infiltrated the old village of Bariqa in the southern Quneitra countryside."

It added that the force searched civilians' homes, abducted a young man, and took him into the occupied Syrian Golan, coinciding with the flight of drones in the area.

Areas of the Quneitra and Daraa countrysides also witnessed Israeli military movements on Monday, including incursions and gunfire towards agricultural lands, according to Syrian "Al-Ekhbariya".

Israel continues its incursions into southern Syria, despite the Disengagement Agreement signed in 1974, while Damascus demands the withdrawal of Israeli forces from its territory and an end to attacks on civilians.

Since 1967, Israel has occupied most of the Golan Heights, and it exploited the overthrow of the Bashar al-Assad regime in late 2024, as it announced the collapse of the agreement and occupied the Syrian buffer zone and other sites, including the Syrian side of Mount Hermon.
