South Korean President Lee Jae-myung on Thursday called on North Korea to return to dialogue, following an explosion that recently occurred in the demilitarized zone and resulted in three South Korean soldiers being seriously injured.

Lee said in a speech on the occasion of the country's Armed Forces Day, "I hope that North Korea will now join us on the path of restoring trust and resuming dialogue, after a long hiatus."
