Settler terrorism targets Palestinian properties and the army fires gas bombs in the West Bank

Israeli settlers continued their terrorism in the occupied West Bank on Monday, attacking Palestinian properties, while the army raided several areas and fired gas bombs.

Local sources told Anadolu that settlers attacked citizens' vehicles on the "Marj See" road, linking the villages of Mughayer and Abu Falah, northeast of Ramallah city, in central the West Bank, with no reported injuries.

Armed settlers also raided Burqa village, east of Ramallah, and attempted to steal livestock owned by Palestinians.

Burqa village and surrounding villages and towns have been subject to frequent attacks by settlers, amid escalating settlement expansion and land seizures in the area.

About 750,000 settlers live in 194 settlements and 400 outposts in the West Bank, including occupied East Jerusalem, according to official Palestinian data.

According to the government's Anti-Wall and Settlement Authority, the Israeli army and settlers carried out 2,030 attacks in August, including 1,402 by the Israeli army and 628 by settlers.

In northern the West Bank, local sources told Anadolu that Israeli army forces raided Al-Faraa camp, south of Tubas governorate, and stationed themselves at the entrance to the camp, coinciding with the flight of reconnaissance planes in the sky.

Army forces also raided the towns of Far'un and Kafr Jamal in Tulkarm governorate, patrolling the neighborhoods of the two towns, which led to the obstruction of vehicle and citizen traffic and impeded their movement.

The sources added that the forces fired gas bombs in several areas, with no reported injuries or arrests.

Since the outbreak of the Israeli war on Gaza on October 8, 2023, the Israeli army has escalated its operations in the occupied West Bank, in parallel with tightening restrictions on Palestinian movement and closing roads and military checkpoints.
