Continued Israeli Escalation in the West Bank.. Raids, Arrests, and Settler Attacks

Several cities and towns in the West Bank witnessed raids, arrests, and increased military measures by Israeli occupation forces on Tuesday, in conjunction with attacks carried out by settlers in several areas, including the destruction of vehicles and homes and the theft of dozens of livestock, according to the Palestinian News Agency (WAFA).

Raids in Bethlehem

Occupation forces raided Beit Sahour and Beit Jala, and the villages of Al-Ubeidiya, Al-Shawarah, and Zeita, without any reported raids or arrests, according to security sources.

Arrest of an elderly man and his daughter in Tammoun

In Tubas Governorate, occupation forces raided Tubas city and Tammoun village at dawn, storming several homes in the city before withdrawing without any arrests, while continuing in Tammoun village by raiding citizens' homes.

Later, the occupation forces arrested an 86-year-old man and his 57-year-old daughter from Tammoun village, in a procedure that local sources said was intended to pressure their son to surrender.

The sources added that family members had been arrested at previous times for the same purpose.

Checkpoints and traffic crisis around Ramallah and Al-Bireh

Occupation forces tightened their military measures around the cities of Ramallah and Al-Bireh, and set up checkpoints at the entrances and around several towns and villages.

A checkpoint set up by the occupation forces at the entrance to Ein Siniya village, north of Ramallah, obstructed the movement of citizens, especially those leaving the city, causing a traffic crisis.

The occupation forces also set up a checkpoint between Salwad village and Yabrud village, east of Ramallah, and another at the entrance to Aboud village, west of the governorate, where they inspected vehicles and checked the identities of citizens.

Settlers attack Al-Muzayra'a Al-Sharqiya

More than 200 settlers attacked the outskirts of Al-Muzayra'a Al-Sharqiya village, east of Ramallah, at dawn on Tuesday, under the protection of occupation soldiers, and destroyed vehicles and homes before the locals confronted them and forced them to withdraw.

Local sources reported that more than four vehicles and two homes were damaged as a result of the attack.

Theft of dozens of livestock in Salwad

In Salwad village, northeast of Ramallah, settlers attacked the village at dawn, seizing dozens of livestock belonging to several citizens, while vandalizing property in several homes.

Local sources said that the settlers carried out the attack under the protection of an Israeli military force, while the locals confronted them and forced them to leave the area.

Arrest of a citizen in Nablus

In Nablus, the occupation forces raided the city at dawn on Tuesday, storming several homes in various areas, and arrested a 68-year-old citizen from his home in the Masakin area, east of the city.

Arrest of a young man after raiding his home in Tulkarm

In Tulkarm, the occupation forces arrested a young man after raiding his home in the Nablus Street area, following a search of the house.

According to family sources, the young man had been wanted by the occupation forces for about two years, while the occupation forces had previously arrested members of his family, as part of pressure that the family said was intended to force him to surrender.

Confiscation of water tanks east of Yatta

In southern Hebron, an Israeli army force raided Al-Karmil village, east of Yatta, and confiscated two water tanks belonging to the Towana Village Council, which were transporting water to one of the communities in Masafer Yatta.

The occupation forces detained the drivers of the tanks and took them to an Israeli camp near Khirbet Al-Markaz in Masafer Yatta.

These measures come as the occupation forces tighten their military restrictions on the residents of Masafer Yatta, including obstructing the delivery of basic services and water supplies, amid continued restrictions on movement and access to land and property.

Several areas in the West Bank have been witnessing an escalation in raids, arrests, and home raids, in conjunction with settler attacks on citizens and their property, amid ongoing tension in various governorates.
