Setting the Speed Limit at 40 km/h on Al-Bata'ine Street

After the expansion of the median island, the planting of trees, the installation of lighting, and the paving with an asphalt mixture up to a width of about three meters, Dr. Arif Al-Bata'ine Street has been transformed into a spontaneous walkway and recreational area for the residents of the area, giving it an aesthetic appearance that encouraged citizens to visit it and practice walking in the section extending from Martyr Mu'ath Al-Kasasbeh Square to Kamal Jaradat Square at the entrance of Bsharah town.

The Director of the Traffic Department at the Greater Irbid Municipality, Engineer Lama'a Abu Al-Asal, said that the municipality has set the speed limit for vehicles in this section extending from Martyr Mu'ath Al-Kasasbeh Roundabout to Kamal Al-Jaradat Roundabout at the entrance of Bsharah to 40 km/h, affirming that the municipality will determine the speed limit for vehicles in the rest of the street and announce it to the citizens upon completion of the special study, in order to ensure the safety of pedestrians and visitors and to regulate traffic.

In the same context, the spokesperson for the Greater Irbid Municipality, Ghaith Al-Tal, pointed out that the street is currently undergoing a comprehensive study to implement an integrated development plan, aiming to enhance the aesthetic and service appearance and provide the best services to citizens and visitors to the area.
