"Irbid Public Works" Establishes Model Speed Bumps on Irbid-Ajlun Road to Reduce Accidents

The Irbid Public Works Directorate has implemented and re-established new model speed bumps at critical and high-risk locations on the main Irbid-Ajlun road, particularly at major intersections and populated areas.

This step was taken to compel drivers to reduce high speeds and limit the frequent traffic accidents that the road has witnessed in the past period, especially after the completion of its expansion, paving, and rehabilitation works, which led to excessive speeds that pose a danger to the safety of road users and residents of nearby areas.

The Public Works Directorate confirmed that the establishment of these speed bumps was done according to standard engineering and technical specifications ("model speed bumps"), ensuring clear visibility and safe traffic flow without damaging vehicles, along with equipping them with warning signs and night phosphorescent paints for early warning.

The Directorate urged drivers and users of the Irbid-Ajlun road to adhere to the specified speeds and comply with traffic signs and instructions on the road to preserve their lives and the safety of road users.
