The Saudi Civil Defense announced, on Saturday morning, the end of danger in several cities and governorates, following the activation of early warning sirens and the sending of emergency alerts to residents in various regions of the Kingdom.
The announcement of the end of danger included Riyadh, Al-Kharj, Khamis Mushait, Jeddah, Taif, Yanbu, Al-Ula, Jazan, Farasan, and Abha.
The Civil Defense had previously called on residents in the areas covered by the alerts to act calmly and follow safety instructions, before later announcing the end of the danger.
Residents were also urged to stay away from the sites of falling projectiles and not to pick up any objects found at accident sites.
As of the preparation of this report, the authorities have not announced the nature of the threat or reported any injuries or damages in the areas covered by the warnings.
The alerts came amid escalating Houthi attacks on Saudi Arabia.
On Thursday, one person was killed and two others were injured, one critically, following the fall of debris from an intercepted Houthi drone in Taif Governorate, according to the Saudi Civil Defense.
These developments coincide with the widening of confrontations and escalating missile and drone attacks on Saudi cities and facilities, alongside ongoing tensions in the Red Sea and the Bab al-Mandeb Strait.
