It called on passengers with confirmed bookings to contact their airlines to verify the status of their bookings and flights before heading to the airport.
The announcement did not clarify the reasons for the redistribution of flights or whether it was linked to the attacks the airport has been subjected to.
This comes after the Houthi group announced earlier on Saturday that it had carried out a new attack on King Khalid International Airport, with no Saudi confirmation or denial regarding the attack issued as of now.
During this October, the airport was subjected to a series of attacks, some of which were confirmed by Saudi authorities, resulting in deaths, injuries, material damage, and the temporary suspension of operational activities.
On October 9, the Saudi General Authority of Civil Aviation announced that the airport had been subjected to two attacks the previous day, one of which targeted airport facilities and the other a Saudi Arabian Airlines aircraft, resulting in the death of 3 people and the injury of others.
On October 10, the Authority announced the temporary suspension of operational activities at the airport following a new attack that resulted in injuries, pending an assessment of the damage and verification of the safety of the facilities.
The following day, the Authority announced that the airport had been subjected to another attack, while the Coalition to Support Legitimacy in Yemen reported that Passenger Terminal 4 was hit by a projectile that caused a fire, and that air defenses intercepted a cruise missile in the vicinity of the airport.
These developments come amid an escalation of attacks that the Houthi group claims to carry out against Saudi facilities and airports, within the framework of the ongoing military escalation between the group and the Yemeni government forces supported by a Riyadh-led coalition.
