Samirat: Launch of Electronic Gates for Departing Passengers at Amman Civil Airport

The Minister of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship, Sami Samirat, said on Wednesday that electronic gates (e-Gates) for departing passengers have been launched at Amman Civil Airport, in a move aimed at digitizing and simplifying travel procedures at Jordanian airports.

Samirat added that the launch of electronic gates at Amman Civil Airport is a continuation of the experiment launched at Queen Alia International Airport, which contributed to introducing digital solutions to passenger travel procedures.

He explained that work is underway to expand the use of these digital solutions in the coming stages, with the aim of making the passenger experience easier, faster, and more efficient, by employing technology to simplify procedures and provide digital services that meet the needs of travelers.
