He said that Jordan considers Israel's actions that push towards the explosion of the situation in the West Bank as a danger to the entire region.
Safadi added that the whole world is on one side and Israel on the other, and that the world is beginning to realize the danger of what Israel is doing, which is why international movements and changes in the international approach to what is happening in the region are appearing.
Safadi pointed out that part of the efforts that Jordan made this week, in coordination with its brothers and partners, was to focus on the seriousness of the humanitarian situation in Gaza and to push for practical steps to alleviate the humanitarian suffering in the region.
He said that everyone supported US President Donald Trump's plan to achieve a solution in Gaza and move towards stability, affirming that there is no alternative to this plan as a way to achieve security and stability in Gaza and end the crisis and humanitarian disaster there.
On the Iranian issue, Safadi said that Jordan wants security and stability in the region and good relations with everyone, but for there to be good Arab-Iranian relations, Iranian actions that undermined Arab security must stop, such as interference in the affairs of Arab countries, and unjustified attacks that Jordan condemns on the Kingdom and on Arab countries must also stop.
Safadi added that efforts are being made to reach a solution, with the participation of Qatar, Turkey, Pakistan, and Egypt, affirming Jordan's support for these efforts, and pointing out that it is in everyone's interest to reach a solution to the crisis, but it is also in everyone's interest to start now with a ceasefire and move towards a comprehensive solution that addresses all causes of tension in the past, leading to a state of sustainable security and stability.
Safadi explained that diplomacy allows for meetings to discuss challenges and problems, express positions, and assert demands, noting that he had spoken with the Iranian Foreign Minister about the need to reach a political solution to the crisis.
He pointed out that this solution must address all causes of tension over the past years, ensure respect for the sovereignty of states, non-interference in their affairs, and non-interference with their security, along with ensuring freedom of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz, and stopping attacks on Jordan and on sister Arab countries in the Arabian Gulf.
