Safadi emphasized in an opening speech at the session that nothing justifies the international community's failure to protect Palestinian children from Israeli government attacks that have killed more than twenty thousand children in Gaza and continue to deprive more than 700 thousand Palestinian children of their right to food, medicine and education.
Safadi added that His Majesty King Abdullah II, in his speech to the United Nations General Assembly on Monday, provided the final word, clarifying that Israel is intensifying its violations because the international community is not using the tools it has to stop them.

The meeting discussed preparations for the High-Level Conference on the Protection of Humanity in War, which the founding countries of the initiative agreed to convene, to be hosted by Jordan on December 7, 2026, at the invitation of His Majesty King Abdullah II.
Safadi delivered a joint statement on behalf of Jordan and the founding countries, outlining the objectives and importance of the initiative as an effort to affirm commitment to international humanitarian law.
Safadi and Australian Foreign Minister Penny Wong chaired an event marking the one-year anniversary of the launch of the "Declaration on the Protection of Humanitarian Workers", launched by Jordan, Australia, Brazil, Colombia, Indonesia, Japan, Sierra Leone, Switzerland and the United Kingdom.
