"Public Works" Completes Rehabilitation of the Development Road in Ma'an

The Ministry of Public Works and Housing has completed the maintenance and rehabilitation project of the development road in Ma'an Governorate, at a cost of about 350 thousand dinars, funded by the governorate council's allocations.

The ministry said in a statement today, Sunday, that the treatment included subsidence sites on the road, scraping parts of the existing asphalt mixture and reinforcing it with a new asphalt mixture treated with polymer, in addition to carrying out painting and ground reflectors works and completing traffic safety elements, as well as inspecting the existing median island and carrying out the necessary treatment works for it.

The ministry pointed out that the distance covered by the works amounted to about 3 kilometers, with one and a half kilometers in each direction, confirming that the implementation of the project comes within its ongoing plans to maintain and rehabilitate the road network and raise the level of safety on it, especially the roads that serve developmental movement and transportation between governorates, crossings, and vital areas.

The development road gains great importance as it forms a link between two main roads, namely the Desert Road and the Ma'an-Madaba Road, which contributes to facilitating the movement of travelers, passengers, and goods, and improving the fluidity of movement for road users.
