Prime Minister: The attack on the Karak church is a result of takfiri terrorist ideology and blind extremism

Prime Minister Jafar Hassan said on Friday that the attack targeting a church in the village of Hamoud in Karak Governorate is the result of "takfiri terrorist ideology and blind extremism," affirming that Jordan will not allow society to head down this path.
Hassan emphasized that the perpetrators of the attack will not escape punishment, stressing that the directives of His Majesty King Abdullah II mandate utilizing all state resources and the efforts of its agencies to bring those involved to justice and impose the punishment they deserve.
The Prime Minister stated that the relevant agencies will not hesitate to pursue those involved, confirming that the state will be able to apprehend them.
He added that the government will take the strictest legal measures against anyone who practices sedition or attempts to find an entry point for extremism into Jordanian society.
Hassan stressed that Jordan, under the leadership of His Majesty the King, will remain an impenetrable dam against takfiri ideology, affirming that there is no place for those he described as "misguided outlaws" or anyone who cooperates with them in Jordan and Jordanian society.
